So as my first post since we've been "back"(it's only been 2 months!) I've decided to share about Lauren's ear piercing experience. This was one of the things I had intended to blog about shortly after we had it done but you know, time just got away from me.
We had Lauren's ears pierced in the beginning of June. After several attempted trips to the mall to have this done she finally agreed to do it. It could have been the fact that we had gone with the Beelers' and the girls were all telling her how great it would be. So, that being said she hops up on the chair. Darcie took my camera and was able to get some fabulous shots....Thanks Chuck.
As you can see from the pictures she pretty much freaked out! Plus one of the guns got stuck on her ear and they had a hard time getting it off but my true scrapbooking friend just kept clicking away with the camera!
After the whole ordeal was over and I was paying a fortune($32.00) for this wonderful experience, some lady came up to me and said, "My daughter was going to get her ears pierced but after hearing your daughter scream, she has decided she doesn't want to do it." What was I supposed to say to that? I told her I was sorry and she said, "Oh, that's ok, my husband didn't really want her to have them pierced anyway." Then why the hell did you tell me that!
Anyway, we are now 3 months into having her ears pierced and I have to say there are many times when I question why I did it. Like when she asks me literally 5 times a day if her earrings are still in, or when her hair gets caught around one, or she's playing with her siblings and one gets knocked out and she's screaming telling me it's closed up! It's kind-of been a tramatic thing for her(great mom I am!) They do look cute though........

1. I love how you've been thinking about this post for three months but didn't have the time. OK girlfriend, free up some much needed time for yourself. PRONTO!
2. Of all the girls to have the damn machine stuck in her ear!!! Poor Lauren!
3. If it makes you feel any better, my mom and I went to get our ears pierced together when I was about seven. Well, my mom made me go first and then determined how painful it was based on my reaction. NICE. She did end up getting hers pierced the same day...LOL.
4. Maybe with the start of school she will forget about checking her ears so much.
5. OK, so, I guess I will check back around Thanksgiving and see if you have some pool pictures to share.
Wow, what a trip to the mall that was! That picture I got of her screaming really captured the moment, lol. :o0 I couldn't believe that stinkin machine got stuck, and I'm surprised Lauren didn't just rip it off-whew.
I'll be back in November with Na! :op
WOW.
Poor sweet little Lauren.
How could you do that to her!
LOL.
The pictures are great. They say it all. I could just imagine how painful it was to see or hear her go through that. But, I must admit the earrings do look really cute on her. Just remember it just gets better & better.
Auntie, Pam :)
